Last weekend was the towns skating party with Santa, a night of treats, hot cocoa, skating and yes Santa.. which Jim and I thought was quiet young and skinny to be Santa, but he was a good skater! Much fun was had by all.

Logan is a pro now, after skating with his school for a few weeks in December!

1hr and a 1/2 later Ethan was getting up from the ice by himself and skating towards me on the bench , with minimal falls and no help. ( not bad for his first night on the ice!)

With Logan at school learning to read, Ethan is very excited to read also.

He is doing a great job.. They both are! So we decided that on top of "fun book"

reading the boys would receive one verse a week

to read and learn. Here is week one!

There has been a little panic around here lately as Ethan ( our true believer) feels Santa has no way into our house. ( although we have a wood stove chimney.. it is NOT a brick chimney) Which in Ethan's mind s not fit for Santa. So he asked us the other day if we could please leave the front door unlocked ( because of course we know "Santa is not a Stranger!" ) so that he may come in to leave us presents. With a little help from two elves! ( ie: Nanny and Grampy) We have the magical key that Santa needs to get into our house! Thank's Nanny & Grampy!!

This is our christmas tree!!! Yes we finally have a REAL one! ( my fake one is still in the valley) So jim was very excited this year to put up a real one. $ 15 can you believe it??.. and delivered to our door.. with a free 4' tree for our boys to put outside!! Best $15 ever!!

Christmas at the "farm house"!! The boys were given a tree for outside when we ordered our tree for the house.. they were very excited today to put up some lights with dad .

It's not much.. but it is cheery and has set our mood and excitement for christmas!

Our first snow in Miramichi..the boys are getting really excited for MORE snow and Christmas!

Logan's school is going to be taking them skating over the next few weeks till christmas. Thanks to Nanny and Grampy who just surprised Logan and Ethan with their new skates and super cute helmets !! ( we may just conquer skating this year!) Thank you again!!!

Logan did really well.. much better than I did my first skating experience.. I seem to remember laying on the ice a lot! and with one boy on my back and the other here, there and everywhere.. it was nice that some extra mom's ( who's kids already knew how to skate) could help out!

Oh...Papa...who can build anything!!! Where are you when we need you...???

What do we do in the Miramichi?????

For starters.. wherever you live you can always take a good nap.. especially in the sun!

Boys have a LOT of pent up energy... and since I am surrounded by BOYS!!! Sometimes I need to give them things to focus on.. while I sit back and laugh!

We go hiking every weekend!

Everyone sleeps really well after a good hike!!

( remember LOTS of Energy in this crew!!)

MIRAMICHI!!

For all of you who think that we have fallen of the earth never to be heard of again, well this is where we've landed.

Miramichi New Brunswick! Jim was offered a service manager job for toyota and then it turned into Fixed Operations Manager for toyota! He is Happy, Loves his Job, and we are learning to like our new home. As for now we are renting a big old farm house on 80 acres, but are looking to find a place that we can call home.

Logan has really enjoyed his first few months of " Big Boy School" as he calls it.

Everyday he catches the bus at the end of our driveway and then it is just Ethan, Owen and I for the day. As for now we only have one cell phone between the 2 of us ( and it is still a Nova Scotia number)

We do not have internet... except for our phone... so we are not trying to forget people or lose touch we are currently in the void of the New Brunswick coast line!

We are experiencing some technical difficulties, do not adjust your television sets and please stand by....

Logan is ALMOST...

He is almost out of my arms.

Logan is almost a Miramichi boy....

well almost.. he is still a calgarian at heart with his desire to be a cowboy!

~Aunty Amanda and Uncle Terry made a sick boys day when this package arrived and considering everything in the house is packed up.. and he IS sick I let him open it..( hope that's ok?) there's video to follow~ THANK YOU very much for always thinking of our boys.. we miss you!

Now Logan REALLY wants bunk beds as he spent the whole time sleeping on the top bunk!

So as you have probably figured out we have been away for a while. If you're wondering NO we didn't sell our house yet and NO we haven't moved. I took the boys to Shediac New Brunswick for some R & R for me and some F*U*N with Nanny and Grampy for them. This gave Jim 2 weekends of only 2 hrs of driving instead of 8.5, gave me some sunshine and the boys many wonderful memories of their first beach/ cottage vacation.

This is the.. " I don't want to leave the beach" Face! Even though we said we could come back after lunch.

The first weekend we arrived, it was our seventh anniversary. ( and if you're a follower of our blog, you'll know we try to take a picture every year!

Good or Bad!) We went to a lovely little place called " Le Petit Paris" It was fantastic! They are a couple from Paris that live in Shediac for the spring, summer and fall and then go to paris for the winter!

You'll have to come try it!

Owen liked his beach outfit more then he liked the beach!

All he needed was a surfboard...maybe next year!

Dad, we took the star fish route all the way to mirimichi, it was a beautiful drive. Look what was all along this route !

This book shelf was built to look old, then he carved his pieces for each shelf out of single blocks of wood. (I thought Grandpa K and RK might like this.)

Each shelf has something on it made from a single block of wood, no glueing. ( when bob and I came in we thought the books were real!) HA!

More swimming Lessons!

It is so much fun watching the boys learn to swim, it brings back such good memories of learning myself. I am such a big kid I wish I could be in the water with them. As all the other mom's sit and chat I am glued to the chain link fence watching with excitement, and a little jealousy!

Meagan says" Ethan, would you like to go off the diving board?"

Ethan ( with confidence) " Sure I would!!"

This was after the two kids in front of him walked out onto the board and then turned around.
